Australian basketball is getting a shake up at the national club level with the National Basketball League's existence coming to an end, but can the new competition turn around the problems that have appeared in the past? Sure this is a sport which has a high participation rate and a big flowing at grass roots level but something has gone wrong in the past with fans supporting the national league walking away and not paying attention to their once cherished clubs.
A major issue that has trampled Basketball Australia's attempt to resurrect a competition is Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane opting to not have representation for at least the first season of the new "NBL", but BA has the view that these teams may not want to be in the the debut season and may possibly have no future in their competition ever again. Possibly The South Dragons and the Melbourne Tigers have made wise business choices for the existence but with BA saying they want at least one Victoria club and this could be from an Victoria state league or state league itself represented maybe the door is shutting on both of the previous NBL clubs reentering the competition again.
The final question to all fans, staff, players and administrators is how viable is a national competition with only 7 clubs?

Lot's of stuff I forgot to post on here but now it's right below.
Okay recently I have added a few consoles to my ever growing collection and those are a Sega Mega Drive II, Dreamcast (Sega seemed to drop their name from this console due to the failure of the Sega Saturn) and a Nintendo 64.
All of these consoles work fine except for the Dreamcast which is annoying, it only sends out audio with no video when plugged into a television. The Mega Drive II was a bargain it only cost me $2 on eBay with no cables, while the Nintendo 64 came with all the cables, one controller and a copy of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time.
In other news I have been on the bus a few times in recent weeks and I tend to be finding myself listening to Taking Back Sunday's album Louder Now whilst in transit.
This post isn't as long as I thought it might have been mainly because I am running out of idea's to write about but one thing to finish on is check out Jamie T's new single Sticks 'N' Stones, it's so damn catchy I just adore it and to be honest Jamie T is a pretty good artist after all.

Christine
The main point of this blog is to tell the millions of readers out there about a person whom I follow on here reading her blog and that's Christine, she tells many ripping yarns and provides photographs along side of them to give you that extra insight that certain blogs just don't do.
Check it out you know that you want to I mean c'mon what else would you be anyway? Maybe drinking soup out of the tin can with the sharp edges cutting your lips?

Sitting.
Today I choose to travel on public transport to do some shopping and I secured a seat right up in the back right hand corner of the bus where I listened to Bloc Party's latest album Intimacy in full, it's a very good LP I recommend listening to it if you haven't done so already.
Anyway there's a place where I like to sit by myself and just observe things, it's surrounded by a group of empty shops which is good for a nice feeling of quiet capitalism. I noticed that a new arcade is opening upstairs from where I like to visit but I hope this doesn't create a new flow of people into my special area.

Rant.
It appears that in the city I live in and other places within Victoria have decided to introduce a new electronic card system to take over from ordinary tickets you get when you get on the bus from the driver, I personally see no real point in and it must be costing the Victorian government massive amounts but only time will tell if this will be seen as a success.
